Anti-Valentine's Night Out

Kensington Roof Gardens is one of those London venues that has always been on my to go list. It's the second largest roof garden in the whole of Europe, has pretty rock pools and full size trees and, it has flamingos for crying out loud. Actual flamingos that live up there permanently. Despite these pretty cool facts, the whole 'apply for guest list and we'll see if your cool enough' thing always put me off.

Last night though I was lucky enough to attend without the fear of being turned away at the door racing through my veins.  I won two tickets to the Rooftop Film Clubs Anti-Valentines Night sponsored by Now TV. It was just a twitter comp, and I was plucky enough to have guessed the correct answer. We were treated to one of my favourite films, Death Becomes Her. Quite apt for and anti-valentines soirĂ©e!

If you fancy checking the Roof Gardens on a more chilled out vibe I'd definitely recommend this. Ticket prices include a free drink, burger or hotdog from the BBQ and a film under a heated marquee. There's a bar right next to the movie screen so you can stay suitably quenched throughout which is a nice change from your standard cinema visit. You're also pretty much free to stay for drinks after the film and roam around the gardens.

Did I mention the FLAMINGOS!

To round the night off, we also won one of 10 mini projectors! Can't wait to test it out for some mega movie nights in.

Rooftop Film Club at Kensington Roof Gardens - £20 - £21.50
